Setting up tpgz
You will need a digital copy (ISO) of the game. You can obtain this by using a Homebrew application like CleanRip to dump your physical copy of the game into an ISO.
Setting up SD card (GCN)
- Download Nintendont files
- Extract the 'nintendont' folder to the apps folder of your SD Card (SD:\apps\nintendont)
- Create a folder called 'games' on the root of your SD Card (SD:\games)
- Inside 'games', create a new folder and name it anything ('TPGZ' and 'GZ2E01' are popular choices)
- Open tpgz.io on your PC
- Select the desired patch version, and click 'Patch'
- Wait for the patcher to finish (may take a few minutes)
- Place the patched ISO into the second game folder (inside of the 'games' folder) on the SD card, and name the file 'game.iso' (remember to add '.iso' at the end)
- Example: SD:\games\TPGZ\game.iso
- Insert the SD card into the Wii and open Homebrew Channel
Setting up SD card (Wii)
- Download Wiiflow files
- Extract wiiflow folder to the apps folder of your SD Card (SD:\apps\wiiflow)
- Create a folder called 'wbfs' on the root of your SD Card (SD:\wbfs)
- Download the romhack patcher
- Place your Wii ISO, the romhack patcher program, and patch file in a folder together
- Open command line in that folder, and run [./romhack.exe apply patchname.patch 'isoname.iso' 'outputname.iso']
- (Example: ./romhack.exe apply 0.2-wii-ntscu-10.patch 'rzde10.iso' 'tpgzw.iso')
- Wait for the patch process to finish (may take a few minutes)
- Place the patched ISO into the games folder on your SD card, and name the file 'game.iso' (remember to add '.iso' at the end) (SD:\wbfs\game.iso)
- Insert your SD card into the Wii and open Homebrew Channel

Using tpgz
General use tutorial
tpgz has been updated since this tutorial was made, and some features shown in this tutorial have been moved to different menus. There are also newer features not shown, such as collision viewer and trigger viewer.
