Monster Data

Data gathered by RheaultWnage, Lortwogo and Anwonu

This page contains information about all the killable enemies in the game. The health numbers were determined using the values found on the Item Attack Power page. The damage numbers listed are for the Green Mail in normal mode. Blue Mail (1st upgrade) will halve that number and Red Mail (2nd upgrade) will halve it again, bringing it down to ¼ of the original value. Some monsters have additional information listed when deemed necessary.

Some monsters can be found in multiple areas in the game. They will be listed alongside an image of where to find them in their respective areas, with the exception of Treacherous Tower.

Dungeon bosses are listed aside from ordinary monsters to allow phases health separation.

Dungeon Bosses

Boss Phase 1 HP Phase 2 HP Phase 3 HP Damage Notes
Yuga (Eastern) 8 10.5 - ½ or 1 Direct contact deals 1 damage. Other attacks deal ½. Must be damaged or stunned with a ranged item in order to get close enough to damage with sword.
Margomill 5 15 25 - Has no attack that deals damage. Can push you in the void, which does ½ damage. Each disk has 5 HP.
Moldorm 7 - - 1 Damage caps at 2 per hit.
Yuga (Hyrule) -
Stalblind 27 46 34 ½ or 1 Breath attacks does ½ damage, other attacks do 1. During phases 2 and 3, he takes double damage from Hammer, Fire Rod and Lamp. If done correctly, one Hammer swing during phases 2 and 3 will hit him 4 times, doing 24 damage.
Gemesaur 12 6 14 1 Only Bombs and throwing skulls can damage him during his first phase. The damage has to be dealt to his mask in order to count towards finishing the phase.
Knucklemaster 20 60 - 1
Arrghus 50 50 - 1 or 2 Eye throw does 1 damage, other attacks do 2. First phase is 10 eyes with 5 HP each.
Zaganaga 36 114 - ½ or 1 Beam does ½ damage, Peahats do 1.
Dharkstare 24 24 - 2 or 4 Triangle attacks do 4 damage, other attacks do 2. Only fire (Fire Rod and Lamp) can melt his ice armor, which has 6 HP. Using the Ice Rod on the ice armor will return it to full size, negating the fire damage it might have taken previously.
Grinexx 5 40 - 1, 2 or 3 Fire pillars in the room do 1 damage, Fire Geyser from Grinexx does 3 and all other attacks do 2. Taking damage from his spin attack will cause him to stop the attack sooner. Only Ice Rod can damage his 1st phase. Fire Rod and Lamp can't damage his 2nd phase.
Yuganon 128 - 2, 3, 4 or 5 Red Balls, Pink Fairies and attacks inside the wall deal 2 damage. Spear Swing, Spear Thrust and Tennis Balls deal 3 damage. Spear Throw deals 4 damage. Charged Thrust deals 5 damage.

† Yuganon's 2nd phase doesn't seem to obey the regular item damage values. For the first two cycles, he will disappear after 8 hits of the regular Master Sword or 6 hits from both the Tempered and Golden Master Sword. For the final cycle (the one with double tennis), a single hit from anything that deals damage will finish him.

Doing one slash and two Great Spins with the Golden Sword on the first two cycles of the 2nd phase will kill Yuganon, skipping the final cycle.
